Hello,
I've been reading threads on this forum for a while, but this is the first time I've posted.
At current I have a small backyard flock. 3 chickens, 1 duck and a goose (Roman tufted/Sebastopol mix). The Goose recently went super broody and was determined to hatch something out (even tho her nest was empty) so I ordered some duck eggs and let her have a go. I kept one egg out in an incubator to see if they were Viable. They were! So I gave her that last egg... unfortunately while she was re settling everything one broke open. and it was a mess.... and she was super frantic to get the mess out of the nest.
I helped her clean up and wiped off the other eggs but I was wondering if that is going to cause problems later on? contaminate or encourage bacteria with the other eggs? Since a couple of them were pretty gooey X( . I used dry paper towel to clean them up and tried to get all the yucky bedding out.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

. ! she's still got the other nine and she's diligently tending to them. If they aren't contaminated.
