Hey geese owners!

What time of day do geese lay their eggs? In the morning like ducks?

Also, how long into the summer do geese lay?

Thank you!

Mine mostly lay late afternoon. I have found hens sitting and thinking about it after midnight. How long she lays will mostly depend on the breed. My Sebastopol only lay february to April and I am lucky to get 15-20 eggs out of a goose

Same boat as @Percheron chick here. In fact my Sebastopols started laying day before yesterday. Mine also lay in late afternoon. I let mine set so mine only lay about 8-10 eggs per goose.

Mine lay anywhere from sunrise to sunset, depending on the individual female. I have a few early layers and tend to see my first egg by Feb. 1st. However, most lay March-May. Of course, I have a few stragglers that will lay into June. Occasionally, I will have a random girl lay in the fall, but that is not the norm.

My goose lays any time, night or day. There's usually an average of about 42 hours between eggs, which makes the laying time of day vary.
