April 22 is day 28. I candled tonite and so far, so good. I hope this goes well. I didn't do very well with turkey eggs. They were shipped and only 1 went to lock down. It never pipped. Where is the pic of the new baby?

My 3 goose eggs went to lock down Monday. Tonight I see shadows moving in the air cells. I believe they have internally pipped. I don't hear any peeping. Should I get ready to drill a hole in each shell. Has anyone done this? I did read the hatching guide and it shows that procedure. I am an experienced chicken hatcher, but this my 1st attempt at goose eggs. Any advise would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

It takes 24-48 hrs for hatching. They rest in between each step. That is why you arent hearing anything. Goslings take longer than chicks, give them plenty of time to do it all on their own.

I will settle down and give them plenty of time to rest and develope lungs. I guess I'm hung up on the hole in the shell so they get enough air. The air cell is very large as I do dry incubation. The humidity is now increased to 70-75%. I was excited to see the moving shadows. Thanks for the reminder about having patience.

Just went to candle and 2 eggs have external pips! One has multiple cracks and I hear peeping! With any luck I will be posting pics by the morning. The third egg has alot of movement in the air cell and I saw the beak open and close in the cell. Goose eggs are so transparent and large. I never get to see anything like this with my blue Ameraucana eggs.
