My first time incubating a goose egg. It looked to be doing well but didnt hatch. When removing the egg shell
This was what I found. Thoughts on cause of death??

It was dead in shell at 30 days. Does it not look done? Trying to figure about when it died so I can figure out what went wrong

Nope not ready to hatch yet. And so many things can come into play humidity, clean bator.[bacteria] have you read the thread Pete did on Goose hatching? That may help with your next attempt.

Did you only have one egg?

Yes a friend had given me 4. One was non fertile and two were very early quitters. Her Goose is sitting on her eggs now so she doesn't have any more available.

As you probably already know, some just don't make it. I'm assuming you checked the incubator for problems, and it was good. Thats why you are puzzled by this one not making it? It appears to have died before day 30.
