I have 3 goose eggs that there due date started yesterday and goes untill next week (28-34 days) so is there something I need to know? I have a LG and this is the first time I have tried to hatch goose eggs and I really want this to work out... I want some geese "pets". So can someone out there please help me on what all I need to know...

These eggs were gave to me...and I believe they are all good ... you cannot see anything but black when you candle them and you can see the air pocket... not big big but its big....

Please help

You should be able to see them pushing against the membrane between the gosling and the air cell if they are getting ready to hatch. Be careful not to turn them when you candle them (yes it is OK to open the incubator!) because you could make them get 'turned around' and have a harder time hatching. Starting around day 24 I candle my eggs daily to see if any have internally pipped (into the air cell). I want to make sure I don't turn them after they've pipped. Once they pip internally, I still candle them to make sure they are not getting weak. It seems to take them forever to pip the shell after they pip internally, but eventually they do! Once they pip the shell I've been wrapping them or covering them (except where the pip is) with a wet washcloth since I have other goose eggs set that still need turned. Just don't help them hatch, they can take up to 4 days after they pip into the air cell before they hatch, so just be patient

Good luck

Follow the advice of Shellyd2008 and also hold the blunt end of the egg to your ear - if the gosling has internally pipped then this can be confirmed by a regular 'clicking' sound
