Hmm, the embdens at our lakes are so much bulkier, especially in the neck, but he/she does have that type of head. If it is an embden, sexing will be hard. I'm glad he/she is social.

My emden gander has a much thicker neck, so it could be a female or in need of some nourishment, but my gander is very vocal, don't have a female so have nothing to compare it too. But does look to be Emden. he doesn't honk though. I'd say pretty young if she only weighs that much,

It looks like a young Embden- maybe from a spring hatch. My toulouse are about that age and haven't really bulked up yet. Does look girly, but I think its easiest to sex by behavior in a group setting, so that won't really help. Nice find though- you won't have to mow your lawn anymore!

She sure is a pretty goose. Don't you just love the color of there eyes? What a nice addition to your home. Geese are really cool and it looks like your daughter really likes the goose. The goose definitely got lucky.

The goose and the girl look cute together. I would agree that the goose is probably not full grown. The goose definitely bonded with some humans. I can just imagine the poor thing wandering down the street alone. It was nice of you to care for the goose even if may be a temporary arrangement. Geese can be awfully charming, but I suppose they can be a little noisy for the typical neighborhood.

I have a pair of four month old Embdens and my male (gander) is now completely white. My female still has a good bit of grey on top just before the tail. It is covered up and you can't see the grey until she moves her wings away. It the eyes are blue, I would go with an Embden goose (female).

Dad blame it! Why doesn't anyone leave me friendly geese in my yard?! XD Lucky! What a pretty goosey!
