Paulla and Jerry, this is the female I had selected out for you. I have her listed as questionable pure, as she has nice head shape, decent body development considering she is one of the younger ones and hazel eyes, but the dewlap has not started developing yet. This is not to say that a small dewlap will not develop, as I have buffs that have only within the past week shown dewlap development.

Janet.. He really likes her. So both buffs PLEASE

Now to decide names !

she is cute - if a bit off for a Dewlap ... if someone just wantted a pet......

LOL Magoo, that is exactly what my husband says about her. Her body is so huge compared to the short fat neck. Add the odd shaped head, she looks downright funky.

Paulla, sounds great!!

Berner, payments in advance of the vet visit next week are appreciated, but not necessary.

OH on a side note ......... we have RAIN

Isaac made it this far north with some rain left ( hard to beleive after all he dumped on Mrs Magoo, Celtic and others)

Excellent news, Paulla!! We are getting much needed rain here too last night/today!! Maybe the worst of summer is behind us??

I hope so... now to keep the ducks up till it drys enough that they dont dig deep holes.

That will probally mean a couple of hours after it stops raining... BUT the yard is greening up!

Hey we aren't greedy...wish I could have convinced old Isaac to keep a little bit more back for everyone up north in need of rain. Either way congratulations on getting rain so you can have grass for your feather kids!!!!

I was hoping the storm would stay on a little bit more westerly track, because we need some more rain here in East Texas. We only got 1/4 of an inch yesterday, which just settled the dust. But, today we got some RAIN! I started laughing when I looked out the kitchen window at the ducks in their run, as they were scrambling around and flapping their wings like crazy. It cracks me up that they are ducks, but they don't like it when it rains..........

I just found a great article on how to turn your lawn clippings into silage for your livestock (including poultry). I think this could be useful for a lot of the people on this site, as the cost of feed is just going to keep getting higher. I wish I had known about this earlier this summer, but down here we still have a few months of grass cutting that will need to be done, What would be the best way to put this out on the site for everybody? Should I start a new thread and just paste the article in the first post? I'm still kinda new to all this and would appreciate your feedback.

are you sure they dont like it? mine do something like that to celebrate. My feathered babies are not real happy with me right now... I made them go into their night pens, witch they already have holes in. Trying to save what grass there is to grow not to be pulled out.
