Happy waiting, Shelley! LOL

This is the time of the year I hate most. Almost cool enough to move birds, but not quite there. Then there is the planning, scheduling and making sure we are moving out enough birds as those we are bring in start to arrive. Further cuts to be made around here as fall rolls ahead. Sold our previously thought to be splash girl (full sister to one of your girls Marty) as well as King Tut an exceptional gander (getting a stunning gander in trade though unrelated to our stock). Hubby is so anxious to get these here and keeps asking me how small I am willing to make the sebbie flock LoL. Think I created a monster with these large geese and him.

Thanks, everyone!! I am super excited that adopters are still coming forward, and there are only a few geese left to get placed until we complete this mission. I am trying SO hard to keep my final flock number below 30, but I am afraid it will wind up more like 32-34.

So... a pair of grey ganders and the white adult trio are pending placement. That leaves one grey pair, one extra grey gander, the funky looking buff juvenile, and a pair of juvenile africans (white and/or brown).

Jen, how is your weather doing out that way? Standing on my head over here waiting to get the buffs shipped
We are still in the 90's this week. They are saying we are going to go down to low 70's the MIDDLE of next week so I still don't know if I can receive birds next week or not. I really want some cool weather!

I was asked for new pictures of the grey adults, so I went clicking away with hubby's camera this afternoon. Picture overload time!

Lightning, the far right boy in the 1st picture (who is the biggest boy left) has a slight limp to his gait. I think it is a hip joint rotation issue, but should not be a big deal to his mobility and quality of life, other than needing arthritis meds later in life. However, I have not had my vet exam him to be sure. I was wondering if you would consider him as part of your pair??

Here is the grey girl that I have decided to go ahead and keep with my group, with the extra buff gander. I will move them once I can move the rescue juvenile dewlaps out of my side yard.

Adult buffs:

White africans... adult trio and juveniles:

Last but not least... a few pics of my juveniles and a pic of my muscovy girls:

adopters!

Jen, right there with you on the heat. We get to October and i am ready for upper 70's and a cool down. Last fall we cooled down and I was able to space out incoming and out going shipments. Not this year, looks like I am going to be crazy busy with in and outs.

To those who have adopted and are awaiting shipment: the costs of shipping will be $135 for juvenile pairs and $110 for single adults. Florida and California are both fluctuating between safe/unsafe temps for next week. As a result, I will not make final decisions about shipping on Monday until early Saturday.

Marty (who is getting the white trio

), your temps are definitely safe for shipping next week. Hubby has tomorrow off work, so we will be sure to get the girls weighed and otherwise make sure they can both fit in one box and let you know final shipping costs.
