NPIP is $39 in Utah, performed by the state vet, and takes a few weeks to get the site visit scheduled. As I plan to ship by Sept. 15th, I was hoping to get it scheduled in late August, after these guys complete a 30 day quarantine with good reports from my vet.

The donations keep coming from the locals. My neighbor just dropped off a 50' roll of hardware cloth style fencing.

Actually Toulouse are a highly sought after farm yard goose.

In the US is where the dewlap came to be highly popular and standard for show birds (exhibition). Toulouse are still kept and bred as the original production type birds meant for meat.

We happen to have both the production (in grey only) as well as exhibition (in buff only), since they both have a purpose.

I was specifically referring to the exhibition toulouse. In the APA standard they are not referred to as exhibition or dewlap, but simply as 'Buff Toulouse' and 'Gray Toulouse'.. so often I forget to add the 'exhibition' or 'dewlap' when I am talking to people as I have been gently chastised by judges when I add the 'dewlap' or 'exhibition' because per APA standard these big birds are simply toulouse.

These dewlap toulouse are not the easiest goose to breed if you have good specimens. The keel can make fertility an issue, so weight has to be carefully managed during breeding season for optimal fertility. If you want a farm goose for meat production, there are breeds that are far simpler to raise and can be raised to size on good pasture alone without additional investments in grain. Sorry,. that was my point.

Iain lots of great news today! Love how so many people are stepping up to give these geese proper homes and help you out in person as well.

August will fly by and they will all be leaving for their new homes. There was a new adoptee sign up today too.

Important newsflash: I spoke to someone today who is somewhat local to Carole who will go over to assess the remaining geese and hopefully take some, if not all of them!!! I have provided this person her phone number to make direct arrangements, and this person promised to keep me updated as soon as contact is made.

Trying to decide on my house. Remember, on it, the wing to the Right is copied on the Left also, where here its not. Mine has two wings, this place only one. This one is very close to what my house looks like though.

REMEMEBER: MY GEESE HAVE TO LOOK AT THIS, AND SO DO i AND THE NEIGHBORS! Help me choose good. My house is like 150' back from the road, so thats why the bright colors.
