The 4 juvenile ganders arrived safely to Bogoshe Oklahoma area. They were a bit stiff from the long ride but otherwise ok. Carolyn drove straight through so they would arrive at the destination asap. She said from time to time they were very noisy which she thought was great because they kept her awake. I talked to her once enroute and she had to call me back because we couldn't hear each other. The ne owner and the transporter don't do computers or have any sort of digital photography. We hope to get someone out there to take pictures. When we do i'll post it to the group. so Thats 4 down and quite a few to go

Glad they are safe at new home and owner is happy to have them!! Hope we can get pics soon!!

Hubby and I spent some time today with the rescue group. We re-tagged the buff juveniles per who they are going to and removed the grey juvenile tags (Susan, easy to tell males as they have much more pronounced dewlaps). I also got hubby to take camera to horse pasture to get some new pics of the adult dewlaps, who are really starting to fill out! Jen, also got a great picture of the juvenile pair you are getting.

Love them all, thanks for the tip on telling them apart.... This has been such a great learning experience, and I can't wait to give them a happy, permanent home. You have went above and beyond.

Iain,

I'm loving the goose line up bit! They are very handsome out in your fields. I'm going to have inadequacy issues soon. I'm so terrably tempted by the other poor geese still needing a good home, but alas, I can't be talked into such a thing ( remember talking me into those goose hatching egg fiascos?) I also don't think I'd be able to do as good a job with just a few moore geese. I want everyone to be comfortable and happy, but they won't be if there are too many birds in the barn every night this winter. Its better than there is a 12 x 12 stall for each group.

I also am wondering, how can I get little sebbie to mesh better with the older sebbies? They pick on her, and she is terrified. Celtic, Iain, Psue??? She just refuses to be with them, and either stands on the outskirts of the fence crying for the dewlaps (she was raised with) or running over to their pens on her the sebbies days in the big yard. I do want her to like them, but its not going awesome.

poor baby ,,,, wish I knew how to help,,,,,, does Shelly have any ideas?

I hope so. I'd like for her to be a happy member of the sebastopol tribe.

Oh, we've been painting up a storm at my place, so I'll try to get some pictures of that up for you all soon. Maybe I can get a pic of the sebbies or toulouse in the front, with the house behind. Of course, that means I'll have to move all the saw horses and prime racks and replacement siding out of the way. (gosh, now I feel tired)

I'm sorry I havn't been on much. I've been tied up everywhere but here. How is everyone?
