As promised, more pics from hubby!
Susan, here are your greys. Girls are in front. Boys in the rear.

Here is the "pick of the litter" so to speak... which I have tagged to go to Shellie, for all of her hard work helping with the great goose rescue.

Here is the buff girl with the broken foot (front and center):
Shes able to walk on a broken foot.

Janet, sorry I forget Chicorys name. I was too lazy to go back and look for it.

I hope Shellie loves the rescue goose. Its a big one for sure. Is he friendly at all? Thats a face of character for sure. I can't wait (2 years?!) for the dewlaps to have their maturity.

How are things for you Shelly? I've only seen you at the waterfowl thread lately. I hope your well, and your boys are happy, and your animals healthy.

Hello everyone. Its getting confusing calling everyone by BYC names and real names. I don't want to seem rude and like your not my friends and not call you your real name, but the fact is I still think of everyone they way I met you....Celtic, Iain, PSue, etc....

I'm sure we'll answer to either name Marty!

Aren't they just amazing looking?

Marty we are getting 7 of them total :D the big gander pictured above the broken foot goose and the other buff goose in her picture plus 4 others. Looking forward to adding them in here. Will make 11 total here to work with.

Lydia, the broken foot should be pretty much healed at this point... it's been over 6 weeks since it occurred. However, since it was not set properly when it happened (before I got her), she will probably always walk with a limp, but still gets around just fine.

Susan, I hope you love them as much as I do. Honestly, it will be really hard for me to part with the younger pair when the time comes. There is something very special about those two!

Marty, no worries! I have a hard enough time keeping my own birds' names straight.... couldn't imagine others being able to do it. And while Iain is my husband's name, I'll still respond to it for all on the forum. :)

Gosh, will I be out of the hatch buddy club if I don't adopt?

How about greys? I've only got the one. I wouldn't mind having a pair, and this is more of a sure thing than shipped eggs. (no extra comments)

Celtic, Im glad you've got that much room! I don't think I really want any more, or I will have to give them the front yard too, and I'd rather researve that half acre as a non goose poop area. We've got water restrictioins, so no more washing down grass everyday.

we could never kick you out of the "hatch buddy club"

We have more grass growing than the geese can keep up with. I have to mow this weekend, and put all of the loose stuff from outside into the out buildings incase this storm turns our way next week.

That is funny, the "hatch buddy" club. I don't plan to do much hatching next spring, but it will be fun to hatch a few eggs from my extra special pairs. Look forward to sharing that time with you guys again!
