Berner, must not resist, must get a couple of ganders, must share your place with these gentle giants.

I have good news and bad news about the local callers. Bad news, I did not hear back from the guy who wanted the adult m/f pair, and the people that called for the 2 ganders, who then decided they wanted a m/f pair of brown africans, came out today and wound up taking home no geese. Good news is took home my 3 excess drakes who were sharing the side yard with the crippled adult grey pair, and bullying them!! Since they left, the pair seem much happier. Plus it frees up space to put the little adult male buff and another female grey in there.

In the meantime, I caught a nice shot today of BG (blind girl) when hosing down their yard/cleaning pool. I think she is happy.

she's soooo pretty!

Thanks, guys! I am thrilled things have worked out really well for BG (blind girl). She looks happy with her living space, companions and routine, which I didn't think was possible a few weeks ago.

Reminder to all:
I have 2 pairs of adult grey dewlaps, 6 extra grey ganders, 2 pairs of brown africans, and the adult white african trio that need homes!!

You guys are a bad influence!
Iain why didn't the local ppl end up taking any geese? And can u email me some info on the adoption process and shipping info when u have time? [email protected] No hurry, but it would be helpful in deciding if I can do this. I would probably only be able to afford to ship one gander so it's not much help on the numbers:(

Berner, the local people who took my trio of drakes were looking for companions for their solo remaining african goose (predators got their other two). They decided that goose was happy with her new drake trio once they brought them home. Never heard again from the guy who wanted the breeding pair, which surprises me since he owned them once before and sounded very excited to have them again.

I would be thrilled if you got a single gander. Not much of an adoption process. I ask you to fill in a form with your information on the link provided in my signature line. That way I have everyone's info in an organized file. All I ask is that the gander does not wind up on the dinner table or back in the kind of conditions I got him from. The box is $25. Shipping cost will be approx. $75. If you had the set up and interest for the special needs gander (has a deformed leg and needs a smaller yard with non-bullying companions), I'd help with costs!!

We pulled the littlest buff male and a grey female from the pasture today to put with the crippled grey pair. The new pair were very happy to rejoin old friends and hang in sprinkler. They are getting along great and the crippled boy has relaxed 10x since drakes left. He spends a lot of time lounging in kiddy pool and is starting to learn the joys of watermelon. His lameness is improving a lot too.

Here they are group shot in sprinkler. The disabled pair are on the right side, with the boy to the left of girl.

Close up of new pair:
