Thanks! I am pretty sure Spirit will soar through the recovery process and eventually be mobile enough to have a great, long and relatively normal life.

How's everyone's weekend going? We are getting buried under relentless snow here... so not fun!

Hey Paulla, how are Napolean and Josephine doing? Are they still Jerry's favorites?

Well I am going to brag a little, it's 60* here in the Mountains of NC with sunshine after a low of 30. [please don't hate me]

My kids would like actual snow in quantity. We seldom get 4", but it'll be 5 degrees for 25 days with 30 mph winds all too soon. I'd love some snow and little or no wind. That would be amazing!

Those that "Think" they know the weather say we could get 27 or more " of snow over the course of the winter. Last year was sparse, the ski resorts did not have a good snow season with natural snow anyway.

Janet she looks wonderful. The chewing on the pins is creepy lol, sorta like rubbing stitches.

We have been cold this week (for here), but due to be upper 70's low 80's this week again.

Marty we are quickly approaching evening chores and lock up, but can get pictures tomorrow. We have 2 girls for sure wont be in the breeding groups in 2013, but will be watched for further growth for 2014. At the very least they will be use in our meat goose flock for their size and good natured ways. Plus they weed the garden very well already. Brunhilde and Valkarie both are well developed. We have a second girl who is almost as large as Brunhilde now. Until they turn three all bets are off, but at least I am seeing good spread early in some, and the dewlap is the least concerning in early growth.

I love the names! I'm amazed at how fast some geese develope and others take so much longer to fill out and feather nicely.

It's pretty cloudy and windy (gusts to 60 mph) right now, and its supposed to be storming tonight, and I believe it. We're hurrying to get the barn raked, and were putting down a bunch of leaves first, hopeing they'll spread a bit and form a cozy bed for tonight. I'm still looking for good straw, but it was a bad summer for plants and grasses here. I'll try to get some good pics asap.
