Goose or Gander and can you tell what breed this is?

That's a low voice, but her neck is long. I am going to say hen by her voice. Gander are very high pitch. My goose lock is very interbred so I am restarting next spring.

Lol... That's what I'm talking about. Very confusing. Seems to be a little of both.. But I'll take it. Thank you so much. I guess we will see if there will be any eggs in a few months. I'll keep you updated. And thank you again.

Embden ? I appreciate it! We have guineas, chickens & ducks but are newcomers when it comes to geese.

judging by the last picture.

If this is a full grown goose.

the gander is flat on the stomach between the legs. the goose will have a pronounced "rudder" between the legs.

Africans and Chinese have a larger hump at the base of the beak.

this only applies to adults.

if this is an immature specimen, then your guess is as good as mine.

the African gander will have a very shrill pitched voice.

the Toulouse is more of a low pitched honk.
