Goose prep for Winter and pool

So started getting the goose pen ready for winter. I'm ripping apart pallets and repurposing as wind barrier on pen. Ill keep posting pics here as I progress.

Very nice and a pretty setting. Your further along in fall colors than us don’t you love this time of year?

Got 3 sides up so far. Today i start on front and will install an auto door opener inside the main door. Still debating if im going to roof or tarp this winter. Might be a project for summer. We have electricity run in there also so we have a wifi controlled bulb, power for pond pumps, drinking water heater, someone was telling me of a heating rod i can mount in tank to keep water from freezing. Luckily we do our own power generation LOL

Those geese have it made. Looks awesome. Remember they need ventilation because they make a lot of moisture so ventilation especially around the top unless one side will be open. Their own hot tub lights WiFi!! I just may come an move in

Yup, the front is still open and i was going to leave one vertical board out on the front for venting. There are cracks all the way around also because the pallet boards are not flush.

Sounds good an looks good how do the geese like their new place?

Oh im not sure about the pen, herding is getting easier. Pure pandemonium in the pond though

They'll get use to it. They are very much like most of us humans change isn't easy. lol Mine love their house yours will too.
