I'm already planning on getting Runner & Welsh Harlequin ducks next year.

Can geese & ducks breed & create offspring?

I'm planning on having male & female ducks, but I was wondering if it would be possible to just have female geese (1-3)?

As a first time goose owner, are there any breeds I should avoid?

Yes you can only have females (as long as you get them sexed that is LOL).

The best breed for a person is an individual thing. Certian breeds have certian characteristics generally. Then different bloodlines within the breed can have certian personality quirks.

Some breeds are more bold like africans, some more timid and like toulouse, some are more loud and some are more quiet. Better would be to research the breeds and get an idea of what you like then ask about that breed and people can give you their experiences and you can decide what works for you.
