Goose Treats!

Yes they have a lot of grass

But want to give them treats to help with training

It may take some time if they are not use to treats. Just keep at it. My gander loves whole corn as a treat. I could probably get him to sing for it lol my female loves just about anything but her favorite is meal worms.

Thank you! I wondered if that might be it. They are less than a year old and formerly lived in my neighbor's grassless pen so their "treat" was a handful of grass. I will keep at it!!

In my experience, geese are almost as different as people regarding their favorite food. None of mine have ever touched lettuce of any kind.

Exactly! Tried mine on Romaine once based on Miss Lydias feedback but they weren't having none of it and just let it go rotten

On the other hand, my two boys go absolutely crazy for cucumber and watermelon comes in as a close second.

My flock loves romaine, chopped tomatoes. Never tried them on cucumber.

My two geese (a Roman and an American Buff) love kale, plantain leaves, lettuce, Asian greens, tomatoes (especially cherry tomatoes cut in half) watermelon, cucumbers, and beet greens. They're strictly vegetarians and won't touch meal worms, beetle larvae or dried crickets...which is ok with my ducks who absolutely love them!
