I posted this in emergencies with no response. I recently got a goose to go with our ganders. She seems happy and healthy. The other day I noticed she has a lump on her belly, a few inches from her vent. Anyone ever heard of setting like this? Could it be a hernia? Any idea if it will impact her ability to lay? (can't post a photo as I'm on my phone, but can post one later if someone wants to see)

Does it look like these? If so, then it's normal. Its a flap of skin, some call it a lobe or lobes(some geese have two)that helps her cover eggs if she were to brood any. In my females it tends to get bigger this time of year and in other times it's small if not completely gone.
