I have a nother question ,every time i go away just a meter from my gander he cries.He does not want to be alone.So i wanted to get him a companion for company,he is a Embden so i dont realy now wich breeds are compatible with them because we dont wont any babys so proably not a female Embden.And can a duck and a goose ba frends.hope you can help.

I have an Embden gander he is 5 years old, up up until this past Aug. he has lived with only Muscovy ducks, actually a Muscovy hatched him. He gets along great with ducks, I just got my gander a mate, she is a Toulouse goose and they are bonding but I think he'll always have a special place in his heart for the ducks. He is a wonderful Papa goose too he helped raise ducklings this past summer.

I got my geese when they were 3 weeks old and I've had them for 6 years and its always the same. When its time to start wearing a coat they will attack me. If I go out with a hat they will attack me an umbrella will set them off their rockers. Talking to them or yourself out loud helps, if they hear your voice, that may help, it does with mine. Imagine, 3 times a day every day of their 6 years and they don't know me with a hat on. Go figure

Hi i have one more question can two ganders live toghether.Cause i cant find out how do you sex toulouse geese.

You can either vent sex them (not easy if you're inexperienced) or send a few feather for DNA sexing.

You can also buy goslings already sexed too.,But you may have to buy more than one probably 2.

They can but expect some quaralling in the breeding season though usually sorts out as they establish whos top dog.

I can only vouch for one of those the Toulouse, My Embden gander and her get along great.
