These are the pics that go along with the new pop door........

The pop door was made to be hollow....so that weight could be added to it

this way when it is installed, no little critters can lift it open.
(I't pretty heavy but still glides open if you have the strength and use the pull cord)

The front is getting closer to being finished....

still cant figure out how that coupla is going to go up there...that will add another 6 feet of heigth to the thing!

Boy you all think of everything!! Who else would have thought to add weights to your door to make letting the chickens out EXERCISING!!!

Oh I'm sure with Gopherboy he has a great plan on how he'll get that on top.......................doesn't he?!?!!? One of the rockets?? Crane with Chickens directing him?? The kids on each of your shoulders?? Oh I hope you get pictures or video of that!!!

Next you have to make one underground, instead of really tall, and name it the Gopher Hole.

can you just use Rope for a pull cord? My hubby has this stuff like for a dog tie out... it's metal and doesn't always cooperate. Also, could you use 2 more pulleys and have the rope on the outside of a run? I guess so, why not, right?

I have to go in the coop and close our pop door myself. They aren't heavy and they aren't even attached. It has gotten old.. especially seeing as I have to walk under roosting chickens to get to it.
