whew sorry. Im not getting any updates any more for some reason. But it looks like she is going to make it. I have been feeding her more of a free range diet. I have had my kids hand feeding her any thing that our male goose eats. they just watch him and then pick some for her. she is content to sit in their lap and eat until she is full. she still has access to he flock raiser crumbles so I haven't been giving her any extra grit. she is still a little slower and smaller than the male but she is happy and alert and seems to be making a change for the better. I have given her nutri drench and save a chic I swear she has to be a walking vitamin supplement by now. thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I think it had to be niacin deficiency or some kind of vitamin deficiency that she was suffering from. I have never seen a lack of niacin manifest itself in this way but then again i've never owned geese before.

And glad you did get the Nutridrench... it may not be needed often, but when it is, it's great to have on hand... she continues her improvement and thrives! Amazing help you have in those wonderful kids, too...

now on another note. I have a giant male pekin he is not going to let any new birds in the yard. he has already attacked some 2 week old ducklings. luckily I was there to run him off. Anyone know of a good way to pluck a duck and get the down off without using the wax method. I think im going to cull him this weekend and all ive ever done is breast them out with the skin off but if anyone knows of a good way to do it I would like to not be so wasteful. I am not looking forward to having to off him but he is entirely to large and aggressive all the time. I would be willing to let him loose to be free but I know that would probably be more mean than anything as he would not survive
