Went to store the other day and had to get dumor products because i refused to pay $19 for flock raiser, purina seems like it got higher, IDK, maybe its me.

I think im paying $12 to $15 bucks a 50 lbs bag.

Just an update on our little found gossling...a few minutes ago he died. He was just fine a couple of hours ago, drinking, but not eating. We also checked our food and it was not medicated. At least we saved him/her from being hit by a car or eaten by a cat/hawk. We tried. I guess on the good note, I picked up two more ducks to keep him/her company and were just about to introduce them to it when we noticed he wasn't doing too well. These are comets (?). Will have to check on that. I didn't have too many choices, as I was just aiming on having company to our first. Heavy sigh. How quickly we become attached. Guess I will be continuing on visiting this portion of BYC after all! Thanks to all who've helped with suggestions and comments. You are a great group.

I agree, atleast it was warm, and cared for without the risk of being hit by a car or something worse.. .. So Sorry, but now you have two other babies to care for!..

So sorry to hear about your gosling

At least you tried.

FWIW, I don't think there are a "comet" duck. If memory serves Red Comets are sex-linked chickens.
