Gosling outside?

That last pic made my heart full:loveraising goslings is one of the best most loving experiences I've ever had in raising animals. I wish I could perpetually just have baby geese.

I think whatever you are doing is okay as long as you be observant of any sort of shivering or obvious signs of being cold. After all, they have those thick fluffy down coats! At around one month old I began to really take my sweet boy out for swims in the river, walks and grazing up to 3 times a day in early spring where it's still a bit chilly here in the northwest. I always had a towel on hand incase Toque got cold and needed warm transportation back inside to the brooder but never found that I needed it.

I hope you are so enjoying these moments with your baby, I would raise a whole gaggle if I could! Some of my favorite mornings were waking up to find Toque out of the brooder calling at my bedroom door for me. Impossible to get upset at that!
Oh for sure. I feel bad when I go to diaper him I feel like I’m going to hurt him but besides that it’s a lot of fun.

How precious! Question--do you have adult geese, too? Have any of them become aggressive in adulthood? I've researched all I can and I'm worried about ours being mean once he's grown. (We still are not certain if it's a boy or girl.)

Now I have diaper questions--I've been curious about it. Can you share pictures and walk me through it step by step? And is it just a huge, nasty mess when you take it off?

Yes I do. The one I raised by hand is the nicest goose I've ever met in my life, totally not aggressive in the slightest bit towards any human, very social and actually likes hanging out where ever you are. Then I have a Embden gander who I got from my aunt a couple years ago. I am unsure whether or not he was hand raised but he sure can be a jerk especially now while his mate, who is very sweet and shy, is laying eggs. Ganders will act as ganders do and there isn't much you can change about that. But I do think a bit of influence can be had if you spend a lot of time with with them as goslings.

Thank you. We certainly love and coddle this baby every second we can, we hope he/she stays sweet. We hand-raised a BBW turkey and he turned out to be a 40 lb. jerk.

I bought it on Amazon size small and I put a panty liner in it. I have to make it tighter with a rubber band and then I make sure it’s not too tight on his wings and I change it every 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours depending on how much he poops and then I give him through the night and also 3-5 hours a day without it on.

Mine is a boy for sure but I don’t have any other adult geese. I hope he doesn’t become aggressive.
