Gosling Questions (New to Geese)

Well I don't know if moving his head to the other side means improvement but to me it sounds like it may. Hopefully soon he'll find center of gravity and be able to support his head and his legs will follow. Have you tried warm water again to see if he can stay upright.
You sure are doing all you can to help.

I think the PND probably tastes better than the Poly vi sol boy that stuff really stinks. any way it's for his own good and hopefully it will help.

When you feed him does he seems more interested in eating?

Not to make you worry more but I wonder if something Neurological is going on too. Hopefully all your doing will get him going.

Thanks for the update

I'm hoping he'll manage to do so. I haven't tried water again but I may do so right now.
EDIT: Tried the water, he made no attempt to stand up or even float and just threw himself backwards repeatedly so I had to hold his head above the water. He drank some of it but I dont really plan on trying this again until he has a bit better of a hold on his footing. It was worth a shot though!

I've smelled both and they both smell pretty awful haha

He's a lot more interested in eating than when i first had him, though he still cant/wont eat without assistance.

I hope not, though if he shows absolutely no improvement in the next two weeks by the time i have to go back to school I think I may just have him euthanized. I can't leave him home unable to eat for 10+ hours - My mom offered to take him to work with her and feed him if he does show improvement by that time but hasn't completely recovered though. She's been really supportive in getting him back onto his feet.
If he shows no improvement I dont want him to have to suffer a life unable to do things a normal goose would do without thought and I'll just see about getting another goose to keep with my ducks the next time goose hatching season is around.

So I guess I was wrong on him switching his head to the right shoulder - he actually just has his head twisted so far left it looks like it comes from the right. So he still keeps his head to the left.

Oh my gosh poor thing having his head so far left it looks like it is on the right?

How does he eat can he turn his head straight to eat and drink?

I am sorry the water therapy didn't go well I was hoping.

Yeah he turns his head really far to the left. He drinks/eats with his head to the side and gets it down without choking or aspirating though I dont really give him much at all at a time before letting him swallow.

No worries! It was worth a shot! :)

About a week and a half ago he had a seizure and died.
The vet that took a look at him said whatever he had was likely neurological and that he had a 'soft spot' on his head that likely didn't develop properly while he was in the egg and was likely the cause of his problems.
