My goslings are Chinese x Toulouse and I was wondering if they will inherit the knobs Chinese geese have. Can you tell? Also how old were your goslings when they feathered? How old will I be able to tell a goose from a gander? Ones of my goslings is significantly bigger than the other ins he possibly a gander? Or is the other gosling just a runt?

@Pyxis probably has an idea whether or not they will inherit the knob.

They start feathering really quickly, and will probably be fully feathered around 6ish weeks. You should be able to sex them by their voice around the same time when their voices start to change. The ganders have a higher pitched voice than the females.

At this age, the size may very well be a good indicator of gender. You'll start to pick up on little nuances in their behavior as well.
