I've had a poor hatch this time, every egg had an issue my chicken egg had a mobile air sac but hatched beautifully, my first gosling was shrink wrapped but with slow patient help hatched and is healthy.
my last gosling however was stuck to the egg and had its yolk sac rupture on hatch with blood and a lot of pain for it which has been sorted now however he has splayed legs a faster heartbeat, and I suspect he could be blind. I need help with this one he can move now if a bit wonkily, but I'm worried about his suspected blindness and heartbeat, he seems strong enough for a recent hatcher but I worry about if he will be able to eat unassisted and if the slightly faster heart rate could kill him.
His eyes never fully opened and look dull and he reacts slower and only appears to eat after the back of his head is stroked, I think it's taking it as a signal it's in front of food. He also doesn't follow the other gosling like the chicken, despite said bird taking good care of it.
