I had 8 of 9 goose eggs hatch under mother goose a few days ago. 6 the first day and two the next. I like to leave them alone for 24 hrs before inspecting closely for mum and dad to bond. I did watch out the window all day and the next morning I noticed the two small ones were struggling to keep up and fumbling a lot. I thought not too much of it as they were a full day younger. Later that day I realised the parents were actually leaving them behind and not protecting them and that I could only now spot one of the small ones so I went out and got the remaining one. It was clear he had niacin deficiency so I made him little boots to straighten his feet and anitone. Today the swelling is down, he has just tape on his feet now, but one of his legs turns in a little and his hips click. He has taken a couple of small steps and had a good swim. I have included photos of progress and would love advice on the hips. I'm hoping as he strengthens and starts walking they will improve?
