Hijack away, Redhen. If we can solve two problems at once all the better

We have had a lot of rain around here, so mold spores are high. I have her inside in a raised cage for better ventillation.

Today I've had her out of the pen and in my lap. It's helped to keep her head elevated and I've known exactly how much sleep she's getting.

For everyone who is helping, please remember that she looks like she's in trouble _now_ and that I have _no_ way to get any other medications than what I've already listed, or what I can scrounge around in the house. She will need to survive another day and a half before I can start her on any other treatments.

I doubt she has the luxury of that much time.

If this is anti-fungal, are there any random things around the house I can use? Will Vics help against fungi? Tea?

Will NyQuil help at all? Will it do more harm than good? Why?

scrounge around and try and find any antibiotics you have..
especially any that were given for respiratory problems.

I'm sorry, I can't think what would be safe to use as a systemic antifungal.

I would not give the Nyquil..

just in case..
if you're worried about the cost of the Tylan..
Tylan 50 runs about 11.00..

I'm not. My main focus is on critically rare geese and I've spent no small fortune in aquiring my guys. Refusing to spend $20-50+ on medicine seems a little silly when you've spent that much on a single gosling

I'll grab the Tylan and a few other things on Monday to add to my medicine cabinet. Fingers crossed, she'll hold on until then.

I didn't mean to insult you by posting the price..

I didn't know if you were unable to get the meds till Monday due to transportation, cost, or some other problem.

Nah, you didn't insult me at all

I can't get anything until Monday because none of our stores are open until Monday morning. I have to work with what I have until then.

NEW QUESTION!

I was looking up antifungal treatments to tide her over until I can get something better. I found a recommendation for someone to eat garlic because of its uncanny antifungal properties. They recommended 2-3 cloves of garlic daily.

Any ideas on whether mixing garlic powder in honey water and giving it to her might do the same? If so, how much garlic powder would you give a gosling that still fits in your hand when she rests?
