Tomorrow is the two-week mark on my first set of goose eggs! I'll get to weigh them all, candle them all, and post pics if I can get good ones.

I bought some ceramic gooses eggs just for this purpose that way she can brood but if I don't want any offspring there won't be any and she'll get off the nest after a time. I bought mine from Premier 1 but you can probably find them at other places too.I'm looking for some advice/support. I started with 3 Toulouse geese several years ago as a trade for 10 ducklings, and every year the one female has gone broody and we've let her produce a single offspring; hence, we now have 6 geese. This morning I found her setting on a nest of 10 eggs, and I don't know what to do. We really can't handle more geese on our little farm, and I hate the idea of taking the eggs away from her. This will sound crazy to some of you, but it was traumatic seeing her and her brothers separated from their parents when I went to pick them up as babies a few years ago, and I can't imagine taking her little ones away from her to sell. How do the rest of you handle this? Geese are so bonded to one another, and to rip them away from their families is simply wrong to me. Any suggestions about how to handle this situation?
