In pigeon news.... Chloe never warmed up to the white juvenile I got last week. So, my mother in law took the white pigeon and picked up his hatchmate so she now has a pair of white pigeons. Last night, I went to the local Taganrog tumbler breeder (who I believe Chloe originated from) and picked up a young matching boy for her. Her reaction was MUCH better and I believe I have successfully found her a companion she likes. Yay! Here they are together (new boy on left):

Thanks re: EBay's name. It seems to fit him, even though I mixed him up at birth and ironically he is not from eggs I got off of Ebay. His hatchmate, "No. 1", is from Ebay eggs. And No. 1 hatched last in the group and Ebay hatched first.

Not sure what to do about the gander who lost his mate, but I now have two extra girls in my free range flock. Hopefully, once breeding season starts up, he will hook up with one of them.

Well he has company, if nothing else. I find geese more fascinating the longer I have them. They don´t accept any old mate, only if they like him/her. I have some that are quite happy, even without their own mate, as long as they have the company of the flock.

serv one of my dear friends was from the Netherlands her name was Peternella she was there during the occupation and was a nurse but she managed to get out and came to the USA via Canada she has passed away now but she sure was special. Loved animals too.
