Missy has not gone back inside since she came out, I did finally go in and gently move the shaving off the eggs and found # 11, I am trying not to panic. I did notice today She did not get into the pool with Sammy, of course he thought he should get in with one of the Scovy girls later on but I wouldn't let him. I am not going to get discouraged yet, I know they can lay quite a few before going broody so hoping it will happen soon.

Sheesh. Goose breeding can be nail-biting stuff, eh? I'll enjoy just having incubator eggs and goslings while it lasts.

:fl fingers crossed for ya! X

8! Did you say you might LEAVE! -_-
Dont leave because your geese arent laying! (they are gonna lay or are laying but you just dont know)besides byc is also fun to help others and learn new stuff! Anyway just a question do you have a hutch or little move around shed around the area so geese can lay?!

Im not leaving yet and it would have only been for a short time just until after all the baby pics stopped lol and only if i didnt get to hatch any.
I have a split level house built for them big enough to park a volks wagon beetle in it. The geese live and nest in the bottom and have a run out front and the chickens live up stairs and have a run out the back. There is no interaction between them unless they are free ranging.

8 thats good enough i guess but did you say that your geese are sleeping in the same area where they live?! but what you should try is get a little handmade hutch or a little shed close to the area and stuff straw inside! I made 9 handmade hutches out of pallets and my geese prefer that then the big shed i have for them (maybe because they like their privecy :/ ) but they love them and all hutches are used every year.

That means next week sunday! Mine are 2-3 days before! This is exciting! And its good if your at work because you cant do anything but watch the baby hatch and you just want the baby to get out of the egg! So thats why its good to be away that day :)
