For those who know how much Jerry loved his Dewlaps.. They laid fertile eggs last week......1 Marie, 3 Josephine and 3 Napoleon. April 16 is hatch day. That's 7 out of 11 eggs laid. I'll take it!

I used one of Ethel's eggs in a cake, and it was fertile. e
Incubation soon, fingers crossed for tufted toulouse.

My mistake. On checking, Moose hatched day 28. I set this current batch on 28th Feb. So 30th is day 30.

Oh, exciting!! I do so hope this one hatches successfully for you and Moose! My auto-sexings hatch day 28-29, so maybe Fri-Saturday you should see some action at least, with the egg. Not ong to wait now!

Day 27 and its lockdown for two of my eggs didnt candle yet but will tonight ! Now for some of that long period of waiting :/
Just want them to jump out of the eggs!!!!!!!

Guess I'll get to candle eggs myself this weekend. My buff yearling went broody on Saturday and there are a few eggs in her nest that could be fertile.

They could be buff or grey as I have a grey split to buff gander in the group. We shall see this weekend if any are developing. Plus, you never know if she will sit tight for the full time, but so far she is acting like a good broody.
