How soon before Mama will take them out to graze? I know they can have romaine...what about kale?

Can I add niacin to a common water dish? Is it ok for chickens? I'm not sure if I can get an exclusive waterer for thr babies...mama is too protective. They're I a mixed coop with chickens & ducks

Thanks!

I haven't used niacin but I did use brewers yeast and had to feed it to everyone including my chickens and they all seem fine. Until mama takes the babies out so they can get their own grit don't feed them anything green. they need the grit to be able to grind up the grass and lettuce and kale.

I have a 9 day old gosling who I take out to graze, or on cold days I bring the grass to her. But I leave some grit for her as well or she finds it herself outside and she is doing great, growing fast. Absolutely loving her greens.
