I forgot to candle before I set, I checked it today on Day 4 and YEP, it is a DY. Both are bouncing around. I am not one to help hatch, as I believe they have to be strong enough to hatch to survive. But I will keep a close eye on them. I have Duck eggs in too, have to mist those so candling often will only take a second.
Anyone that has hatched DY's got suggestions? Should I candle more? Maybe more often as they grow? I know that most of the time they do not make it, but hey, it is already growing so might as well try, I mean if I take it out now or leave it in and they don't make it, I really have not lost anything.

UPDATE: Well my Double Yolker is still doing well..... Both babies are bouncing along. Will candle again on Day 15, then Day 19. Thinking I may throw a small hatcher together just for this egg, so I can monitor it more closely.

Karen, doubles are like twins. More than likely you will have to hatch them yourself, as the gal the in the video did. However, the chances of them making it to lockdown are slim, and I assume you know that already. I would love to see you be the 2nd BYC'er that managed to do it.

I forgot to candle to check it before hand, so I figure no harm in trying. I am doubtful of it making it all the way, but hey stranger things have happened..... I will also be interested to see , since these are BBS Orps, if the chicks are the same color. So I hope that if they don't actually hatch, they get far enough along to tell what color.

They may get that far along. If they hatch, I am interested to know if they have "twin vision" like people do.

I always liked science

No harm if they don't hatch. It would be cool to hatch them both though....
