I have been through the whole rooster and overmating thing and took care of that. The rooster is now gone. My problem is that on the back of my hens headsd right where the comb ends there looks like there is some feathers gone. Not all but some and only on a couple of the hens. Now, I know that when I had a rooster this was JUST begining to happen and then I got rid of him so now I can't tell if this was from him or if maybe I have a hen that is doing this.
On one hen if I rememeber correctly, the feather loss looks the same but another one I think has gotten worse because I would have noticed before. SO i think he did it and now the hens are just seeing it and taking advantage since it draws attention. What do you think? Should I put some blue coat on there though it aint real red on some of them?
