Got 3 hens and a rooster Saturday and got our first egg from the 1 laying one (I think the BO) this morning. She was being ornery last night, which was a new behaviour for her, then when I saw her sitting in the nesting box I surmised...Anyway, the shell is rough. What causes that? And is she finally comfy/settling in if she's laying in her new home?
