GOT BETTER PICTURES OF ALL FIVE-Roos or Hens????

I have two RIR and one Cherry Egger that have less comb and waddles then yours. They looked a lot like #2 at that age. Mine are now 5 months old and definitely all hens. I have to agree with Tuff.

I agree with Tuff as well. #2 is the only girl pictured. I can also see the hackles developing on #5 - sure sign of roo.

LOL-well, number 1 and 5 are crowing...it seems everyone agrees that #2 is a girl, well at least I got one out of the bunch-woohoo!!! Do I separate her from the roos???

I would because they are going to start fighting over her...leave the cockerals all together but take her out...they shouldn't fight too much if they have been raised together and there are no pullets around them...a seperate pen just for them...Thats what I do...

Okay, I called the chicken processing place and asked them if they knew the difference and they said it was in the claws...so I took more pics of the 'hen'...for the last vote before they get processed next week, here's some pics:

I've never heard of that way to tell a pullet from a cockeral...lol..never...She is a pullet...by way of comb and wattles at 12 weeks...

WOOHOO!!! I GOT ONE!!!

I went out today and saw that she was being surrounded so we separated her. She went kind of crazy when we put her in a cage so we put it near them and she calmed down. Thank goodness we had those cages...

Yeah thats what she said, and I saw no difference in them at all doing that-lol.

Yeah, she's still freaking out so I attached another cage to hers so she can stretch out and she's right next to them but once all of the commotion of me moving things around ceased she started eating and relaxing...I'm just glad to have her and then next in about 3 wks we'll be starting over, this time with sex linked-thank god!!!
