My chicks are one year old today! I got 9 hoping to end up with 6 and I still have them all. I spent too much time reading the emergency sections here and getting all nervous, but things have gone pretty smoothly. Dealt with a case of bumblefoot and one broken leg, but you would never know it to look at them. I let mine free range, so my biggest fear is dogs. I was never interested in using the guns, but I have learned how to defend my girls. Who knew having chickens would be so much fun? (Lots of people here, that's who). Happy Birthday chickies!
