Got Caught!

Wow......well you can put up lattice and cover it in thick folliage either real or (cough) silk so that she can't view your property from her vantage point. I would make it a point to get some yard speakers and play strange music during the legal hours of the day.....maybe some animal tapes.....elephants.....exotic birds just get her used to the sounds which will also mask the chicken sounds. Some of my chickens squawk when laying eggs and some are silent. This way she may be less intent on spying on you. I live near a lion and tiger rescue place called Catty Shack ranch and early in the morning you can hear the lions roar. It was a little un settling the first time I heard them roar. After a while I got so used to hearing it that I hardly notice it anymore.

Were on the same page. I bought lattice work to place on the sides of the coop, but still allow air flow as it can get hot here. 3walls of my backyard are covered by my neighbors privacy fencing,(kathy stands on whatever she has on hand to snoop over the fence as she is VERY short lady) the fourth im covering myself. I have a light blue tarp over the coop right now.

I didnt think of the music!

I used to play music for my birds(the keets and finches) all the time to drown them out and make them happy.

Its just one of those things... I swear some laws are just put there to make a few happy. (usually the grumpy and rude ones)

My grandparents come over and spend a good deal of time talking to the girls and feeding them (like back in the day when I was a kid) they swear that if you talk to them it soothes them and they have a easier time laying. Like a de-stresser.
