So the old owner (we bought our house on a CD) got a letter in the mail about our chickens..... I think I went over bored they are SO addicting! I had 5 then added 3 more, I guess someone must have called the city on me

You cant have Chickens in my city unless your on at least 4 acers.... Sooo the hubby and I cleared the snowblower lawnmower and all the rest of the stuff out of the big shed in the back and now I have them in hideout.. lol tomorrow I am working on putting some hardware cloth up for some air flow..... what do you guys suggest, anyone else doing anything like this?

We have our coop in our garage and the run is made from dog kennel panels. We will be adding green privacy panels in it.

Ugh, Drat your neighbor, Whats wrong with a few chickens? Well I feel better I'm not alone in 'illegal chicken farming', but I still hope I don't get caught! I think properties and facilities can be evaluated on an individual basis by appointment with some city official...like special permits...that and neighbors should be more forgiving.

I can't imagine any one of my neighbors complaining about some extremely low volume bird noises when their dogs (each neighbor has at least 2 dogs!) bark incessantly for no apparent reason, we live near a busy street, firehouse & hospital, and our neighborhood is home to the loudest wild parrots ever (I love the wild parrot screetching by the way--its homey to me)... nevertheless, I'm unsettled since its not technically legal.

These pretty birds are just my pets...
