Got first eggs

My BR and, Black SL's are laying now.. these first few eggs are smaller than 'normal' eggs.. would one expect as these pullets grow to be bigger the eggs will get a bit larger?

It sure is fun, like Easter every day.

My hens eggs only took a few weeks to get bigger and bigger. My smallest hen actually lays the biggest egg.

Yes, the eggs will slowly get larger. When our ducks started laying they were popping out these tiny little eggs to start with. One of them layed long skinny eggs for a week! Then things straightened out and we are getting "normal" sized eggs.

It is fun, isn't it? I'm desperately waiting for our chickens to start laying. I send my daughter out to collect the duck eggs every morning and she's had such fun making me guess how many were waiting for her!
