I lost three chickens on Wednesday and two more on Thursday. They each had a cut on their necks and there was no blood around.
So after a little research (thanks to my friends at BYC) I built a weasel trap. A small box just big enough for a rat trap and a small tin on tuna.
Then cut a 1 3/4" hole in one end and buried it in snow just outside the small chicken door.
Set the trap at 4pm and when I checked again at ten pm the Lord had already called him home.
Technically what I caught was a stoat not a weasel but either way he in not going to bother my chickens any more.
Thanks again for your helpful suggestions.
