Got Him!

It is a simple box just big enough for the rat trap and some bait (I used tuna).

You will need a hole in one end (mine was 1 3/4") and a door in the opposite end.

Set it so that the little critter must crawl through the hole and over the trap to get to the bait.

There are some videos on you-tube that were helpful.

Thanks.

Back when I was a kid that pelt would have been worth $25 if you were careful skinning it. If you decide to skin it, however, take my advice and wear disposable gloves, weasels and skunks are related.

Whenever we bait and trap things here they are ugly!! You know, skunks, coons, best of all RATS etc. WOW! That ermine is so pretty! Can you skin it and keep the pelt? I'm sorry it took your chickens, but that is a pretty and deadly animal!

All I ever catch is rats. That critter is VERY pretty. I love the black bit on the end of his tail. Pity they're so vicious.
Glad you caught your killer. Hope your hens are safe now...

Great catch! Beautiful hide! Recently caught a mink... another beautiful, deadly, evil little critter!

Up until now, I, also, only caught the regulars (rats, possums, coons, etc.)

But don't ever wish to catch one of these beautiful creatures... because that means that you must have lost some of your own, beautiful, loved creatures!

Actually if you had one of these, you wouldn't have rats. They are death on rodents and usually kill them off first before starting on the chickens.
