A food runner is the person that takes the food to the table for the server. A server is a classier word for waitress or waiter. This is not my first job in food service, I worked in restaurants for years. Not a newbie in that department.

There are 3 servers, including myself. We are going to rotate days on cart duty, not rotate within one single day.

MD: Everyone can do what ever they want with their job and money. I wouldn't be able to call it fun money either if I had bills to pay, but that's my own decision to make.​

I think it's great. Just do your job with pride and do it to the best of your ability. Nothing wrong with being a waitress, server, whatever anyone wants to call it-it's dang hard work! And you have to put up with alot with a smile on your face and not let people push your buttons...md, dont even think about visiting that country club!

Waiting tables or serving tables is very hard work, you get paid depending on how well your job performance was. It's not like you sit at a desk and get paid the same every day (nothing wrong with sitting at a desk, I've don't that for years too).

OHChick, My other job isn't going away, it's just become part time.
