There were some pin feathers, but I also raise myscovy and have processed those at every age under the sun, and no matter the age it seems they're nothing but pin feathers. Coming from that, pin feathers on the geese felt like a breeze; I hardly noticed them. Can't wait to see your results.
Wow! I'd love to try turkeys sometime. That thing is huge.
They're not hard to raise, but expensive to feed.
I agree. The hardest part is trying to make sure they get through the first 3 weeks. Otherwise, they are pretty hardy when they pass that point and are really fun to watch. They are super friendly.
