It's pretty small, I'll guess 16 x 24"...they will outgrow it soon.In camera the box looks small but it’s not.
I already have an outside brooder all ready when the grow out if it but right now this box size is alright for them. It's pretty small, I'll guess 16 x 24"...they will outgrow it soon.

Thank you!!Pretty little chicks.![]()
Could be because its to cold, easier to control temps. I have some here in my basement I am moving this weekend outside. They will be 3 weeks old and my outdoor brooder is not that great and still could see temps in the 20s.Just curious why they aren't in the outside box in the first place? Seems less stressful than moving them in a few weeks
That's true. I usually just wait until they're all fully feathered and off heat to go outside if I start brooding indoorsCould be because its to cold, easier to control temps. Could be lots of reasons.
Yes it would be a lot less stressful I agree, much easier as long as one has the proper set up to deal with whatever climate and conditions they have.
It’s to cold outside. Usually when They start flying I move them with a heat pad.Just curious why they aren't in the outside box in the first place? Seems less stressful than moving them in a few weeks

What color are the pheonixes? Silver or gold? You'll enjoy them, but know they are not really pet chickens. They're very similar to leghorns and will do best with a lot of space and minimal handlingAnother picture
