Got my bator, some questions.

OH! For future hatches, can i leave the knob where its at right now? and make it easier on me in the long run, or do i have to do all of this again next hatch?

if I don't answer very quickly, just PM me.

Definately - don't turn the knob once you have it set well, just unplug the bator to turn it on or off.

Mine run constantly so I don't have that problem

- but I do have to turn one off soon, I got quail racks for my turner, so I can hatch some quail eggs. I'll have to turn it off so I can install those.

ETA - next time you plug it in, though, make sure you run it for a few hours before adding eggs, to make sure it holds steady temp. I used to plug mine in at least 6 hours before I added eggs, even when I had the knob set.

I plugged mine in after not using it since last may... and it went right to the correct temp, they stay pretty good when you arent using it, just don't pick it up by the temp knob

And yea I know you are excited, that will be fun to have hatches in the same time frame!

What kind of eggs? I'll have turken, mille fleur and I think I'm going to try some of the Trader Joe eggs too just to fill it up

yep, that's it.

I always preferred mine to run at about 100 degrees - that way if it spiked a little bit, it didn't hurt so badly

At most your hatch might be a few hours later than usual - better too low than too high.
