I'm so excited (and a little sad already that when they stop laying they will have to...go to the "farm")

I have no idea about their breeds, so any help appreciated.

Nice pics. Looks like you have a Delaware (white one) and Black Stars. Not sure about the one in the last pic in the front.

The dark barred one looks like a cuckoo marans hen to me. They will lay for many years, not just the first couple.

Does the gray one have a muff or beard? Yellow on the bottoms of her feet? She looks a little like an easter egger.

they're beautiful! congrats! And from what I've read, chickens generally lay their entire lifespans, but not as frequently when they become older.

Nice looking chickens. Some of my hens are 6 yrs. old and still lay. Not as often, but when they do, they're much larger eggs than when they were younger.
