Got my ducklings and one died within 30 min .... crying :(

My beautiful ducks from Holderreads got here and they were all seemingly fine at PO, but within less than a half hour at home one of the white runners died. Now they had sent me a bonus white runner, either it was the bonus they added maybe because it was weak, or I must have hurt it when dunking bill in water and food. I am just sick about this I just can't stop crying.. I feel horrible. Just totally horrible....

I doubt anything you did is why it died. So many times the stress of shipping is just too much on tiny little bodies.

thats awful! i am so terribly sorry, you did nothing wrong, sometimes these things happen due to the immense stress for the little babies, they just arent ready for it

It is very difficult to lose them when they are so fragile and young. I feel your loss as we just received 28 baby chicks on Monday and 3 of them have died as well. I felt so guilty but everyone on here has been so supportive and its very common. Good luck with yoru other babies!
