It's always fun to know what breeds others get (kind of like us getting chickens vicariously thru you lol).
 
Wow thanks for the warm welcome! It said red pullets, but plan on maybe trading some out when they get bigger, i would love some variety. We have plans on recycling a lot ofold house items to make the coop. It. Will hopefully look like a new orleans shot gun house when done...we hope...loads of inspiration from all the great photos on here.
 
One more question, I live in Florida and its pretty warm here already, is there a temp when its ok to put them outside? Or is it all about maturity? Its been a long time :).

You should use the heat lamp about six weeks or until fully feathered. Put a thermometer in with them. Start with the
light adjusted so they are at 95 degrees, and raise the light each week. At week three they should be at 80 degrees.
Even if temps are pretty moderate, your birds will need that full feathering before they can handle temp changes and cooler nights etc.

I love your idea for a coop! I have lived in the south the majority of my'life, and a replica shotgun house would be awesome!
